DANN LIMITED were appointed at the beginning of 2007 to provide the complete electrical and technology systems to this prestigious new project. October 2007 see's the nearing successful completion from the general electrical installation, lighting, heating, blind/curtain control all utilising the latest KNX technology, also all the custom integration from the intruder alarm, fire alarm, CCTV, TV/Satellite systems to 20 zones of multi room music and 3 home cinema's .This fantastic new house was designed by local Edinburgh architect Christopher Dinnis.

Renovation project-3 story town house central Edinburgh -Aug 2007

Once again DANN LIMITED has been recognised for their ability to provide a one stop shop for clients looking for a professional Systems integrator. This project merges the old with the new, this 100 year old town house in central Edinburgh has all the elegant features one would expect in this type of dwelling but our client with a young family wanted to have modern day 'gizmo's' included in the renovation that would ultimately bring the house into the 21st centuary. This project starting in October 2007 will test the installation capabilities of DANN LIMITED's 'on site team' not quite as simple as your 'new build' project. On this occasion we are having to work round ornate cornicing etc. Being an old building it is essential to have complete control of lighting and heating systems, we do not benefit from modern day insulation practises, KNX is the ideal medium to provide this control level for all lighting/heating and blind control. With multi room music, home cinema and Satellite distribution to manage also we will implement as the 'upfront user interface' Creston's 8" touch panel's to integrate ALL systems from dimming the lights, raising the temperature, and turning on the home cinema.

This stunning three-storey 8,000 sq foot bespoke house is fully integrated with structured cabling throughout. The hard-disc driven multi-room hi-fi system allows different music to be listened to in every one of the 12 rooms from a single source, while the multi-room TV system delivers satellite, video, and CCTV in parallel. There is a full telecomms & data system with its own exchange and broadband access. The remotely monitored alarm system is backed up by a CCTV network and programmed for intruder, fire & carbon monoxide detection. Externally, both gates & garage doors are automated and remotely controllable. The lighting, heating, shutters, blinds & fires can be controlled on-site through wall panels or by remote control.
